... That Dodge is cutting it from the lineup as of today. Sorry to hear that. I think that the Magnums are definately one of the nicest cars on out there.

BTW, the PT Cruiser has also been cut.

[&o] I think the price and size of the Magnum are what caused its fall. It is a really long car compared to what else is out there today, and a lot of people are scared to drive big cars. I also think a lot of people looking to buy a "family vehicle" (it's still a wagon people) at this price range go more for SUV's and high end Minivans. Oh, and I almost forgot...people are scared to drive RWD vehicles today. I over heard someone at work the other day saying "I'll never drive another RWD vehicle again." I instantly thought to myself "well maybe if you knew how to drive..."

Well, at least the PT got cut.

Me sad.

When it was just the 300 and the Magnum, the Magnum was selling well. Once the Charger came into the picture, Magnum sales dropped. Majority of people prefer sedans over station wagons. And crossovers are the fad right now. IMO, the Magnum is the best looking station wagon past and present.

I can understand cutting the Magnum and the Pacifica from a marketing/sales standpoint. Killing the PT Cruiser makes no sense at all. It needed to have some money spent on it with a better drivetrain and some freshening here and there. But in the end,it would have had a better future and wouldhave sold more cars than that stupid Caliber and its clones. I traded a PT Cruiser GT for a Magnum a year ago, and have regretted it ever since. The Magnum is OK, but now I'm gonna really have to take a bath to unload mine, if a buyer can be found for it at all, after this news. I'll never own another Chrysler product again, that's for damned sure.

Ummmmm...the Magnum is just as long as the Charger. I know because I had a Magnum before my Charger and they both fit the same in my garage to my "line-up/clearance" marks on the floor.

Only the soft top cruiser has been cut. The are still making the regular models. Also being cut are the Crossfire, and the Pacifica.

Yeah,

My magnum will finally hold its value...hehehe It kind of a downer now but in 3-4 years people are going to see that magnums are cool they just were not ready for them. This can only be a good thing for current owners. My folks have an 04 SSR and it has actually held its value compared to what they paid for it. And that car had small production runs and only 3 years of production. Keep your fingers crossed.

Deak nailed it. As I mentioned in the other post, if someone wants a Magnum, they have to come to us.
