HELP!!!!
I just bought a 2005 Magnum RT/AWD. It has only 3600 miles on it and has never been in an accident. I can hear a clunking noise when going over bumps that make the car rise. I hear nothing when I go over bumps that do not make the car rise or lift. I have had it at the Dodge dealer for 3 days and they can duplicate the noise, but cannot figure it out. They have checked the body panels, re-adjusted the bumper liner and replaced the left front strut, but to no avail. The noise is still there. Please help! Any suggestions at all would be appreciated.[X(] Someone, any suggestions at all? Bueller, Bueller, Bueller?
wasn't this a common complaint with the '05 AWD models??? i know they stopped production of the AWD models for 6 months until they cured issuses they were having. there must be aTSB or recallon the drivetrain noise.
I found the listings on the net. I am bringing them in with me tomorrow to a new dealer and let them have a crack at it. I love the car, but this is frusterating as hell. I was gong through the papers and found the previous owners name and address, so I will be giving him a call tomorrow to find out the history of the vehicle.
i know there are some form transfer case shudder. i lot of the AWD drive are getting the clunking noise underneith the car from the exhaust hitting the floor or the cross brace. have them check and adjust the x-pipe to make sure it is not hitting there. most common cause...good luck
