Few questions about Magnum RT AWD - oil changes frequency
Hello,
I've just bought a used Magnum RT AWD, and I wonder about few things. Hopefully, someone here will help me... I have already read most of forum pages, but cannot find practical advices. Instruction says that oil is supposed to be changed every 3k miles or 3 months in case of long engine idling, high traffic, etc. I think that is my case - I travel twice a day about 20km for an hour (that's normal traffic in Warsaw). My questions are: do I really have to change it so often, or could I do it like every 6 months? Is it safe for MDS? The problem here is lack of this "prescribed" oil on market, 5W-20 - it is nearly impossible to get it here, in Poland. I have only found one brand, from US actually: Quaker State Peak Performance 5W-20. Is this one fine for my Magnum? Would you recommend it? Is it OK to fill engine with 0W-20 oil instead? What is the closest alternative?

BTW. It has now 23k km of mileage, and in this traffic I get 22l/100km (that's about 10.7 MPG). Longer travels, very dynamic (if you can imagine the presence of police is rather limited here, so its like heaven for speeding [sm=badbadbad.gif]), I get 16l/100km (17 MPG). It is rather dissapointing actually... I mean I have real fun, I knew it will be something like that, but all time I gain by speeding, I loose then at gas station. Like if it was F1 racing with pit stops - everything depends on time spend in gas station
