Default MDS Sensor, What is it???

I wrote in a recent post about my 07 Magnum R/T being stuck at the dealer since before Christmas. This is due to an MDS sensor that is leaking engine oil and which cannot be replaced because all such sensors are back ordered. According to the dealer he checked all other dealers in US and Canada, no one has them! Has anyone had a similar problem? I don't even know where these sensors are located on the engine. The MDS was working OK, despite the leak. I haven't been very forcefull with the dealer (or Dodge) because I have other cars to drive, and I'm out of town for a while anyway. I am starting to get concerned now because I will want the car back as soon as I get home, and they still haven't received the replacement sensors!

65...at what point in your series of mods, did you have to get rid of MDS? I know I will have to do it somehwere along the line, but not exactly sure when...

I just checked the availability of the multiple displacement solenoid, part # 50502152AC and they are not on back order. If I ordered them, I would have them the next day. I bet the guy ordering them cannot find them on the blueprint. They are listed with the camshafts. There are 193 dealers with these in stock...

it seems that the MDS lifters can only handle a maximum lift of .529, with a .525 as the safe max. my cam has a .565 lift. i had to eliminate the MDS lifters and MDS solenoids and get a custom PCM flash to remove the program from the tune.
