HELP! Serious 06 Dodge Magnum Problem
I have been having issues with my car over the last few months. It is an 06 Dodge Magnum. My car has randomly been just shutting off while driving. Everything in the car turns off including any electronics such as the stereo. The car then won't start after this it sounds almost like the battery is dead, then after a minute the car will start. The dealership has not been able to find the problem, I have left the car there and asked them to drive it until the problem can be replicated, but the problem doesn't happen for weeks... sometimes months and is totally random. The dealership sounds eager to give the car back to me even though it has only been a few days. I don't know what to do from here, I am scared to drive the car for fear of it stalling in a left turn with my family in the car. The car has also been having other weird electrical issues such as the rear window not rolling down, lights on the controls and radio going out, and at one point the air bag light was on, but that was fixed from a loose connection under the drivers seat... I don't know if these issues are related. Has anyone else heard of anything like this or know any sort of solution?
Are you the orig. owner?
...I`m just wondering if the car has been wrecked , or flooded at one time and you weren`t aware of it.
I`ve never heard of your problems before , sounds like a wiring issue perhaps.

I am the original owner, the car was in a collision about a year before these problems started. There was some damage to the front of the car and it was fixed at a certified dodge dealership.
How bad was the damage? It could have pinched a wire harness somewhere and is now causing some problems , due to corrosion , or maybe a wire or two is grounding from time to time , and that is causing your problem. It might be worth a try to take it back to the "certified dealers" body shop , that did the repairs...
i remember my mom had a chrysler pacifica that did that when she made left turns as well it would die and all the electronics would turn off. it had something to do with the software on the ecu/wiring and was fixed under warranty
