Default Radio Amp Output???

I have a 2005 Magnum R/T. I am installing a Garmin VIB 10 (vehicle integration box for Navigation Unit to play over stereo speakers).
I have the Midline II radio. 6 disc in dash cd/mp3 player with cassette deck. RAQ I think - maybe RAK.

Here is the wiring schematic for the VIB 10:

Here are the pinouts for the factory radio:

Here are the pinouts for the factory amplifier:

Here is the problem I am having. The VIB unit has the standard front/rear - right/left input/outputs (GR/WH/GY/PU wires). The factory amp only has left and right outputs. No front or rear differentiation. I have tried installing this thing between the radio and amp and I do get the radio or cd signal (whickever is playing) to mute but the system does not announce the directions as it supposed to. I have installed between the amp and speakers with even less success. It will mute some of the signals but not all. Between the radio and amp I interrupted the left and right audio output. Between the amp, I have interrupted the left and right amplified speaker outputs.

Any clear direction and what I am doing wrong and what I SHOULD be doing will be greatly apprecciated. I refuse to cut my factory harness any more until I know exactly how to do this. [:@]
