Idling RPM's very fast
I've been having trouble the past few weeks with the idling speed when stopped. It doesn't happen all the time, but occasionally the RPM's are so fast that it causes the car to overheat. If I turn off the motor and turn it back on, the problem goes away. Obviously, I can't turn the motor off and on while in stop & go traffic, but it is very scary. I never know when it will happen. I've only got 26,000 miles on the magnum (350 horse V-8), so it's still under warranty, but my Dodge dealer could not find the problem. It appears to me that the computer that controls the idling is malfunctioning.
Anybody out there with a similar problem? If so, what did your dealer do to correct the problem?
