WARRANTY VS. SOUND SYTEM HEAD UNIT REMOVAL
I Had A Service Manager Guy Tell Me That Certain System Monitors Are Embedded In The Factory Supplied Radio/head Unit And If It Is Switched Out It Can Cause A Number Of Different Problems To Arise Also Involving Loss Of Certain Warranties. Has Anyone Else Come Across Thid Gibberish And Could There Be Any Truth To It????
All I know, my audio system is tied into the vehicle's computer.
When I took it in to have the a/c checked, an error code popped
up for the sound system. From what the service advisor could
tell, it was an error from the factory.....whatever that means....

Yes, the factory radio is on the buss network. Replacing the head unit will make it difficult to diagnose audio problems. In fact, if you have a problem with an amp or speaker the dealer may require you to pay for diagnosis time to determine the problem.
I changed out the whole audio system a few weeks right after the magnum first came out and I got mine. The Magnum doesn't even know the difference, the buss network skips right over the radio. If the install is done right, you won't have any problems. Redhouse
