Default Headers and Cool Air Intake - Warranty Void?

I'm thinking of upgrading with headers and a cool air intake for my R/T. I've asked the dealer about the upgrade, and I get some vague info on if I can use other OEM parts for this, or if I have to use Mopar stuff to keep my warranty intact.

...not racing or anything, so I'm not worried about that. But really,..the dealer wants $$$ for the headers (which include CATS) and for the CAI. I've seen CAI's much cheaper, and I found JBA headers for about 1/2 of the price (without Cats)..

Anybody know the real deal here? I don't mind paying the dealer to do the install, but the price of their parts is rediculous! If I go aftermarket, and have a local shop do the install.. would that mess with the warranty? Any way to prequalify any outside OEM aftermarket parts for this?

Please help! .. I want to go.. FASTER.

The law v. real world: Law unless they can prove that the products caused a failure your warranty should be honored. Real World most dealers will frown immediately and blame evertyhing they can on the non OEM equipment. If you get their stuff you are ok, they would never think that their aftermarket parts would fail...LOL.

Keep receipts and the DodgeRegional Reps number handy....LOL.
