2007 3.5L Engine Blue Smoke
I own a 2007 Magnum with 3.5L. engine. Built Aug.2006, we bought in Sept. 2007.
We had it in the shop numerous times forthe Check Engine light being on. Finally diagnosed as an Intake Manifold problem, and it was replaced approx. March 5th/08.
The Dealer also did an an oil & filter change too.
In the past several days, the engine is blowing blue smoke on start up, and when accelerating.
It's going back to the shop, but has anyone else seen this problem, and have you any ideas?
Thank you.

If it was an OHV engine, I'd say the valve seals are shot, that's a tell tale sign on old smallblock Chevy engines.
However, since the 3.5 is an OHC engine, I'm not sure if the same would apply.

Took the Magnum into the Dealer today. Apparently they used the wrong oil on March 3rd whenthey didan oil & filter change.
They used 5W-20 instead of 10W-30 (5W-20 is supposed to be used on the Hemi engines, not the 3.5L engines).
They changed the oil & filter today, using 10W-30 oil. Hopefully that is the end of the blue smoke.
I'll keep you posted.
