TIE ROD PROBLEMS
JUST A HEADS UP FOR THOSE WHO MIGHT NOT KNOW. MAGNUMS,CHARGERS AND 300'S ARE ALL HAVING TIE ROD PROBLEMS. SOME HAVING TO BE REPLACED MULTIPLE TIMES BEFORE 30K MILES. THE TIRES ARE WEARING DOWN FASTER DUE TO THIS AS WELL. SOME EVEN INCLUDE SWAY BARS TO BE REPLACE AS WELL. I JUST REPLACED TIE RODS IN MY '05 MAGNUM. 2 FRIENDS WITH CHARGERS JUST HAD TIE RODS REPLACED AS WELL WITHIN THE LAST 2 MONTHS. I WENT TO DEALERSHIP SERVICE TO ORDER TIE RODS AND THE PARTS DEPT. WAS BACKORDERED ON TIE RODS 466 ORDERS. THIS IS IN BROOKLYN, NY NOT SURE HOW BAD IT MAYBE IN OTHER CITIES.
None here....
71,000 miles and straight as an arrow. I'm on my 3rd set of tires, but hey, how long are they supposed to last when they constantly smoke across the Intersection?
Not all the LX's have this problem. My 05 RT has a Build Date of 11-04-04. Most of the bad streering problems were fixed before my car was made. April 04 to September 04 had the worst of the streering problems.(from what I have read)This is a new run for Dodge, not having a V8 Rear Wheel Drive Car for over 30 Years, you have to expect some issues prior to buying it. I was warned not to buy it in the first 3 to 5 years, but ignored my friends and got one. Happy and no regrets. The Hemi far out weighsany negatives...
