What is a tire pressure you are runing?
Please post comments on whether and how it affects tire wear.

I run 32 PSI in tires>>>Magnum RT only has 1,500 miles on it now>>>I had front tires aligned for a little outside wear on both front tires at 1,000 miles>>>I will rotate tires ever 5,000 miles

I've always run 35 unless there was a reason to do different, like the Van, which wants 42 in the rears..

40 psi cold. Stiff ride, good tire wear. Rotation is roughly every 5000 miles.

this is late update - i rotated my tires @ 5500 mi. there was very little wear: i 'm guessing ~15%, less than that on the front but there is minimal feathering on the outer edge. i keep my pressure ( religiously) at 32 psi. of note - after oil change crown drift was bit more noticeable-i thought i might be running uneven pressures, so i checked it: they bumped it to 40, which i didn't know. it went back to previous characteristics after correcting psi to 32.
i hope it hepls

i run 32 in my intrepid, and it has been working fine for me, even with Michigan weather.

another tire rotation at 11K. honestly i don't see much diffence from the last time (at5K); its gotta be some additional wear, my mistake i didn't take objective measure last time. now its 5/16in all around. very even wear.
BTW last 2 000 mi i dropped pressure to 30 cold and i lost 0.3-0.5 mpg.no noticeable diffrence in driving. going back to 32.

until next rotation..

Default RE: Tire Pressure

At first I was running the recommended tire pressure of 30 pounds of air in my RT, this was for about the first 7,000 miles. Tires looked and felt too soft, so I am now running 35 pounds of air in all 4 tires.

Like most here, I had some light cupping of outside edge on the front tires (stock Continentals).

Car does not pull to either side, am hoping the higher air pressure will help cure some of the cupping on the front tires. Have not rotated tires yet, will do so soon - have 9,000 miles on car in 10 months.
