Default Headlight (not bulb) Removal

I am doing a headlight retrofit, using Halo's, and changing from a silver to black background.

I'm now ready to remove the stock headlights and install the new ones.

However, I cannot see where the nuts & bolts are that connect them to the Magnum.

Has anyone removed their headlight assemblies, and could you please tell me how you did it?

Thank you.

The easist way to do it is to remove the front fascia and it only takes about 10 mins.

Alternatively you can access the two bolts one on top and the other underneath by presssing down on the fasica a bit right below the headlight and you will see the bolt. The downside of this method is if you drop the bolt when removing you have to fish for it by getting under the car.

Go with fascia removal, plus you get to see how easy it is to remove.

Thanks for the info. I got the lights changed, and discovered there are three bolts that hold it in place.

Two are at the front of the light, as you said, both at the top & bottom.

The 3rd bolt, and tough to get at, is near the top of the light, at the back of it, where the light assembly meets the front fender.

Re: fascia, that was the trick. Had to remove the 3 push-pins in the fender (they all broke), along with several screws at the bottom of the bumper, plus all the push-pins at the top of the fascia near the radiator.

It was no where near as dificult as I thought it would be.

Thanks again.

Default Don't worry about dropping the bolt.

I just did a halo swap on my magnum and dropped the bolt. Once the headlight is out you can easily reach it. You only need to remove the five clips at the top of the grill. (Those are compression clips so lift up from the inner pin head and remove it completely before removing the inner clip)
