Default Removing the Head Unit

I just recently ordered a kenwood ddx7015 I was wondering how to take off the dash to get to the radio. Is there any screws or is it snap off. I Also have a dash kit would it ruin the dash kit. If some could help me out it would be great. Thank you

thinking back in my memory, it's snap on.

I remove the ash tray then pull out on the bottom. I can then get my fingers on the sides and pull straight out. You have to be carefull with the wires leading to the a/c and the buttons up top. They can be a bit tricky to get. You squeeze them which releases the lock then pull out.

I used the mounting and wiring listed for an '04 Durango. And it all fits perfect. Except for fact that there is no switched power lead at the radio harness of the Magnum.

i but the JVC in mine, as for switched power you can tap off the lighter right below it, also mine didn't have a illumanation wire. However I found one in a unused harness that was part of the switch for the hazard lights between the upper air vents. Just take a voltmeter and start probeing. For those of worried about using the lighter for power uncan use it to trigger a relay.

Roger that, I did the same thing with the Power outlet. I guess I should have said that too.
