I have an 06 Magnum 3.5L. Under normal conditions the cooling fan comes on when required but it will not shut off automatically. The fan runs continuously until I shut the car off and remove the key. The car seems to maintain a normal temperature, as opposed to running cool, but it sounds like a jet turbine under the hood! My initial thought is a sensor or relay has failed. Anyone out there experience this before?

No. I have an 07 Magnum with 3.5L engine, no cooling fan issues here.

You may want to check and see if you're A/C is stuck on. The cooling fan is supposed to operate when the A/C is on.

Check your A/C compressor to see if it's operating when the fan is stuck on.

If it is, and the A/C or Defrost isn't being used, that could be your problem.

 

Well, problem solved. It turns out the Magnum wanted to be traded in for a 2009 Ram 1500!
