Sounds to me like he's referring to the same procedure that you've done, i.e., going into diagnostic mode to read your pedal position.

However, if that is the case, then he is the only person that I've seen reading all the forums to claim seeing a number greater than 100%.

Otherwise, I don't know of anything else he could be referring to.

So far, the consensus is that the throttle cal procedure changes how the throttle valve reacts to pedal inputs. It doesn't widen or narrow the 0-100% operating range.

Having said that, I think Dodgemech had some other input on the throttle cal procedure, but I don't remember exactly what he posted.

EDIT: Oh yeah, if you're in diagnostic mode and you go from the ON position to ACC, Pedal position shows 102%, regardless of what you do to the pedal. That's the only time I've ever heard of anything greater than 100%. Software version 3.61

Has anybody read this in a service manual yet? My theory is that it lets the ECU know what resistance the pedal gives during its travel to the floor, so that it has an accurate reading.

I noticed that same 102% on the throttle setting, I assume for starting purposes, but I also noticed that when in the screen that shows pedal position of 0% will change when sitting there, engine off.

The interesting thing is that 100% throttle, the pedal is over an inch off the floor... I did the calibrate deal and it didn't change.

Another one of those 'does yours do this? questions..

Getting a pair of sxt grills painted now...I do like the look better than the stock RT grill..
