It is normal Terry on these engines. Can't explain it but it is. Weird huh? Just keep up with the oil change maintenance and you will be fine.

 

It's normal for it to just start out of the blue with that many miles no it with on changes in anything ?

 

FYI

My wife's 2007 Magnum with 3.5L has been using oil for a long time.

I just checked it today and it was at the Add line.

The oil was changed on May 20th, 3,000km. ago.

It appears that we need to add oil every 2,500km. which is unacceptable, IMHO.

 

it was the pcv valve on my 06 3.5
