Default painting the rear post

anybody out there tried painting the pillar between the back door glass and the rear glass, as seen here.
I think it makes a huge diff in the apperence but am not sure about the difficulty, eg removing the glass?

I think it looks great. I have photoshopped that before but that's the first one I've seen done.
I'mm gonna do that to my wife's ride. I'll mask it first, then sand it with 400 grit, getting in all the hard to reach places, then spraying it. I'll prime it first then use a high gloss black. Flat black would look cool too.
I'll take pics when done.

Looks good from a distance, not sure what it would look like on a darker color.

Would work best on a light color car.

it looks good it that picture, but when i look at the real thing, the rear side glass flows naturally with the top of the rear door, not the top of the rear door's glass. if i painted straight across from glass to glass, there is an alignment problem.

it's not for me. i like the separation in the glass on the light colored magnums.

hey grin, what about that rear glass, it floats above the metal, are you gonna take it out or just try to spray under it.
