What size dim is our opening for a head unit? 1.5 or double? will a 6.5 inch monitor fit?

 

Its a 1.5 DIN. The DIN radio width is 7 1/8" wide. I used an '04 Durango adapter for my aftermarket stereo head unit. If you Magnum has the non-NAV radio, then there will be the side half-circle cutouts on the bezel for the ***** on the stocker. I think that if you dont have the NAV to start with, get a NAV bezel (nice and square) and then find or make a adatper to mount it. I have been thinking of mounting the stereo head in the center console, and then using a portable DVD player and doing the NAV bezel install with a Screen in the stock radio place. Has anyone seen an adapter for new Doges with the NAV unit?

 

I had to customise my dash in order to fit the kenwood 7015.It is double din.

 

xdreamteam420, did you just shave it, top and bottom to fit? Does this give you the four inch clearing you needed? or was it really really tight.

 

xdreamteam also what did you use for mounting bracket? I am looking at the avic d1 and it is double din along with 6.5 inch screen.
