Default LA and Magnum Parts

Hello

Ok, So I have everything needed to build a mopar 360 LA series. Well today I picked up my motor from the machine shop and I was told that motor was no good. The block was salvagable, but needs 1700$ worth of work. And the heads are cracked.

I was wondering if I got a magnum block from a 1998 jeep or dodge durango or ram a 318 or 360 are interchange some parts. Because, I have following comp cam
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...d=300417417992

Can use the cam in a mag block?????? Also are the cam bearings and all the same or different?

I know the heads are completely different. But can I use the Crosswind #55025 with a Carb??

Or another senario could be I can salavage the block and bore it out, and bolt on some mag heads??

What would be the best course of action...with the least amount of money...

So I can get the ol dodge back on the road...This motor is going in an old dodge d100.

I see you also posted this same thread in the 1st Gen Ram section, which is where I assume it belongs if it is in regards to your '89 Ram.

FYI - This sub forum is strictly for the Dodge Magnum STATION WAGON, it has nothing to do with the Magnum engine.
