Except for a trip to the Keys or something with the car club 90% of my driving is back and forth to work.
The freeways in S. E. Florida are madness so I usually just cruise downtown on the boulevards.
I have 300+ of my favorite classic rock tunes on CDs, country & western on the satellite and sometimes I like to shut it all off and just listen to the Magnaflows. There's a couple of spots I can clean it out through 1st & 2nd and do so daily, weather permitting.
This is the most fun I've had driving in years

Being retired is just great, sometimes I even manage to forget what day of the week it is.

Oh yeah... Work has gotten nicer since the Magnum came along. I even have the luxory of parking it in front of my window, so I can look at it throughout the day. I back it in, so everyone else can see the front end. I like looking at it most from the drivers seat. Traffic is thick here in So. Cal. and the surface streets are worse. 5 - 30 mph on the way to and from work. Barely tap on the gas now and then... This thing cruises nice... Oh yeah, what was the topic, work, what work, oh that's the numbed time inbetween my ride in the Magnum... Well, Magnum RT summed that one up...

 

I'm only a few years out Bob (turn 60 this year :-)
I've been looking at log cabins from N. Florida to Ashville N.C.
I may just get another Harley when I get out of this traffic madness too.

I lived in So. Cal in the early 70s. Traffic was bad then so I can't imagine it now :-(.

 

I'm self-employed, and work out of my home. So the commute is pretty short!!

I take every opportunity to take the car for a drive. I've even started going for cruises. Bringing me back to my teenage years.
