Looking for cures to common woes
Hey everyone. 2005 Magnum RT bought new. Stored (sort of) winters. Grand total of 37k on it. Replaced prematurely-worn Conti's with Toyo's last yr.
Wife wanted a Magnum when the commercials came out for it. Always said she doesn't do mini vans but this she could handle.
She built one numerous times on the net until she knew exactly what she was looking for. Found one an hr south of us. They wouldn't budge on a seemingly high MSRP. She actually found out that they were transporting it from a dealer in the next state and that's why they wouldn't move on the price. She arranged the sale over the phone with the dealer in the next state, we drove 5hrs round trip and saved 3g's. Worth the tank of gas. You gotta love a woman that pushes for what she wants.
Not like I needed another reason to sit in front of the 'puter all night, but her beloved "Maggy" (I dislike that name) is starting to show signs of needing attention. We also have a Lincoln TC, Ford Excursion and 74 Charger that love to take my time also.
Hoping to find a cure for the new low speed surging and electrical gremlins - sunroof closing, pulsing headlights, strange rattle in the backend and intermittent no-volume radio.
Wiper switch, door locks and window switch replaced under 'bummer' to 'bummer' warranty.
Probably the most issues we've ever had with a vehicle - new or used. Still like driving it, turns a lot of heads in our area - rarely see any.
Ron
