Default Magnum seems to be losing oil

So I have an 08 Magnum SXT with about 28k on it and the oil seems to be disappearing on it. I don't want to say it is being burned, because I don't see any smoke, nor do I see any drips, but if I check the dipstick after 3k miles or so (I usually go 5k between changes) I notice I am down below the low level mark. Is this something normal with the Magnums? I can just make sure I dump a quart in in-between changes, but if there is a problem, I assume I should actually fix it rather than mask it. The car runs fine and there is no outward sign that the oil is getting low.

Any thoughts?
