I have a 2005 Magnum r/t and the rattles are bothering me. I dropped my car off today at the shop for 12,000 mile maintenance and to hopefully have them correct some of the these rattles.

The sunroof rattle happens with the sunroof closed, but it is very bad when the roof is in the tilt position. So bad that I will not even use this position.[:@] it appears that the front of the sunroof is hitting the interior frame or actual roof (body) because i can place my finger in between there and it goes away. The rattle with the roof closed may be from a different place. I am not normally **** about small rattles, but this is not small and I want it fixed.

I also have some rattles from the rear, but it could be the cargo organizer and that I can live with.

Anyone else with rattles like this?

 

I didn't get the sun roof, but I've had the windshield pop fixed. Now I have a squeek coming from the area of the radio. Its not loud, but bothersom.

 

what is a windshield pop?

 

Reminds me of my Pontiac Trans Am with the T-Tops, all they did was squeak and rattle.

Got rid of the car after 6 months, could not take the noise.

Typically when the body flexes, there is a pop/crack noise coming from rightside of windshield by A Piller. There is a TSB out to correc this (basically removing a screw).

 

HAD THE SUNROOF RATTLE... WAS THE ACCORDIAN SEAL RATTLING AGAINSE THE GLASS... REPLACED IT AND NOW NO NOISE... HOPE THAT HELPS

 

They said they had to order a new track and glass today for the sun roof.

So far, I am not impressed with Elmhurst Dodge service. I dropped the car off at 7:00 am yesterday only to find out this morning that no one even touched it yesterday. My service writer never called me back at the end of the day as promised and has today off, so there was some checking to find out what was going on with the car. I coulda used a car yesterday if I knew they were not gonna work on it!

My pull to the right was fixed by putting air in the tires, which I just checked. I told them that if pulls to the right when I drive away I am not going to be satisfued and he said" you might not be happy but we checked it according to the procedure and determined it did not need to be aligned". That comment is from the service manager. Guess its time to make an appointment at an alignment shop.

They could not fix my carpet tear on the passenger side cause they needed to order the rivet, lol

The did fix my A/C cut out problem though, or so they say.

I will be looking for a new dealer based on this visit alone, so if anyone can recommend a good service dealer in the Western suburbs of Chicago I would appreciate it.

Dodge service was one of my biggest reservations in getting this car. I have had great service on my last car and with my wifes car, both which were foreign. (BMW & Infinity) Now I am dealing with clowns it seems.
