Default Anyone Tried This...Engine Coolant??

I just had a friend tell me about this stuff, (Aqueous Propylene Glycol), and he swears by it, and runs it in both his Mercedes and his wife's Suburu. It's kinda spendy, but the long term benefits outweigh the initial cost. Has anyone had any experience with it?? If so, your thoughts. Here's the website: http://evanscooling.com/main25.htm

I thought the current coolant was good for 5 yr / 100k miles?? Why change it, until you need to?

Evans is popular with the diesel crowd because of it's long life span and not needing additives to prevent cavitation. But for the Magnum I don't think you will see any benefits than using the current HOAT coolant. Unless you're planning to put a million miles on the Magnum in less than 10 years.

The stuff is fantastic. However, and this is a big however, it is not compatible with water! The procedure involves ridding your entire cooling system of water/antifreeze and refilling with the Evans product. In the event of a boilover, hose failure, etc., you cannot just put some water in and go. You must top up using Evans, which, unless you carry spare gallons of the stuff in your trunk, isn't very convenient.
I would use the stuff in a race car in a heartbeat, but I just don't think it's too practical in my street cars, however excellent it is. Personally, I'd just add a bottle of Royal Purple's Purple Ice and be done with it. I've proven the stuff works great in my street and race cars, much better than Redline Water Wetter in lubricating the cooling system parts and lowering the coolant temps.
