Actually, I read Racing Technology on the internet somewhere, did not claim it to be fact.....guess you only get to post things if your an expert? And I'm not German.

R/T Round-Trip (travel booking)

And I add Racing Technology...so there.

And SXT? SXT stands for "Soft X-Ray Transient" which means that the black hole candidate orbits around a visible star which is at most about as heavy as the Sun and that the whole system occasionally emits soft X-rays.

Maybe I should have bought one of those.........Earth to FlatEric.....

 

"SXT" is the model code for a package that is offered on several DCX products. It is not an acronym for anything in particular.

It stands for Road & Track....................back in the old days (mine) we also called it

RUN TUFF

It started with the original Trans Am Road Racing series.....all American pony cars only. R/T = road and track. I think just in the name of nostalgia, they called the hot rod Magnum ...RT.... just to use a recognizable name.....just like Hemi.

 

All that aside, does Dodge still stock/sell the 60's style R?T badges? The chrome units are OK, but a little color would be nice on a Midnight Blue Magnum R/T.

 

I thought it meant "Road and Track also. But I did read somewhere that a DCX engineer said it was Race Technology. You can buy a Charger R/T with an "R/T" option. (ten more horses, stiffer springs, basicly a Daytona package without the orange paint). So I guess it would be an R/T Charger with a R/T option package. Kind of redundant, you think?

 

when they introduced the R/T options, it was road and track...who knows what they have evolved it into now...
