Exclamation Issue with dash lights? Can't identify fuse!

My girlfriend has a 2005 Dodge Magnum, and I have searched everywhere for this issue but cant seem to solve it!

the back lights on her RPMs and Speedometer wont light up...

so at night you cant even tell how fast you're going!

I figured it was a blown fuse... but after reading the manual and searching online, I cant identify WHICH fuse is for the back lights on the speedometer!

ANY help much appreciated... I really wanna get this hazard of a problem fixed!

thanks

Did you ever find a solution to this problem? I have the same issue and suspect that it's a burned out bulb.

Default Dashlight solution

Hello! I had the same problem, and I was able to solve it by replacing a couple of fuses. In the trunk by the battery is your fuse box for most of the dash stuff. In the cap is a diagram with the fuse numbers.
I replaced a blown 20amp on fuse #18 (which also says IGN and has a 3 slot spot). I also replaced the #8 which looked a bit toasty on the metal parts, and #36 because #8 and #36 were mentioned in other forums. Worked for me - so far so good.

Default electroluminescent backlight repair

There's a video on youtube:
Repairing an Instrument Cluster Backlight with the ELD-M on a 2005 Dodge Magnum
This also works on the Charger, Sebring, 300C, and Challenger.
