Guys, im sorry if i pissed any of you off but dont get bent out of shape because you didnt understand the question that rtracer was asking that would be your fault. And aj_gil im not the one that didnt understand what i read so that would probable make you the stupid child now wouldnt it. Like i said i didnt mean to **** anyone off but if you took it that way thats your problem. the man was asking for a simple way to get a good sounding exhaust for cheap and you guy's made it sound as if you were re-engineering a whole new exhaust to make it sound good when all it takes is just what i explained to get a good clean sound out of it. Hell if you guy's were so smart why dont you guy's just dump the exhaust after the headers that would save you a whole lot of money and time and you will get what ever you 65 year old men would call a cool hot-rod sound without buying any flowmasters or glass paks or what ever you guys do to make it loud because just dumping would do the same thing. But what do I know, I just build every day drivable 1000 h.p. vipers for the hell of it and if i dont know the answer to something i wouldnt have replied.

Viper, you're missing the whole point and yes your arrogant attitude does sincerely **** me off.
The mod you suggest I mentioned in several posts as a great starting place and offered a few other suggestions if one wants to go farther.
I'm guessing that you saw the word glasspack and assumed that everyone is attempting to relive the '50s.
You don't know what you're talking about and I don't care what you build. All the glasspacks do is replace the rear resonators (not the "rear suitcases you mentioned that don't exist) providing a little backpressure to eliminate the "drone" alot of us were getting.
Personally my car has a nice mellow rumble only heard when running it hard.
I don't know what a statement like "Hell if you guy's were so smart why dont you guy's just dump the exhaust after the headers that would save you a whole lot of money and time and you will get what ever you 65 year old men would call a cool hot-rod sound without buying any flowmasters or glass paks or what ever you guys do to make it loud because just dumping would do the same thing".
I try to voice an opinion to help someone and answer a post and have to listen to arrogant crap like that????
Kiss my old butt, jerk [:@]

Now now gentlemen...Again thanks to all that provided input, I appreciate all your help and ideas...all of them , but I do not like my thread turning into a you said, no you said, flame match. We all have the best platform car in the world (ok for less than 30k) so lets stop this fighting BS and put our energy into sharing ideas on making our great cars even greater
peace, love and heminess(stole that from somewhere)

Hey Florida Bob,

What did you use for the small glasspaks? I have the Flowmaster 40s in mine and the sound is not "old school" enough for me. The resonators have to go.

I've only had my RT a few weeks and aside from tinting the front 2 windows, the thing I want most is a better sound from the exhaust. My husband drives an '03 SVT Lightning and man I am jealous of that "roar" he has.

I have looked at the borla and the magnaflow because I won't go with flowmaster, too much drooooooooooooooooone for my taste....and the borla/magnaflow are a little pricey.

Anyone want to point me in a cheaper direction?
