2005 Dodge Magnum SXT awd
Hi guys,
I'm new here but I have been looking at this 2005 Dodge Magnum SXT - AWD for a while. I really like the look of them but the only thing is I have been hearing mixed reviews. Everybody loves how they look, perform, etc but are they reliable? the O-ring seems to be the most common problem but how about the transmission etc? I guess it can be a hit and miss with all sorts of cars but are the Magnums costly to maintain?
I will probably catch the modding bug but I'm not too concerned about that, just more concerned about the mechanical stuff.
The 2005 Magnum SXT AWD I found has about 70k miles but the only thing is that it is has rebuilt status. The front end was damaged but apparently only the bumper and hood needed to be replaced. Is this a red flag?
Your help is greatly appreciated as I would really like a Magnum but I'm just concerned that I will be spending a lot of money maintaining it rather than enjoying it.

I have an 06 sxt awd and it is solid. I took it from New York to Florida and back 4 times and it now has 57,000 on it.
Have it looked at by a Dodge dealer and offer the seller the going price minus the repair. Show the seller the estimate.
I just had to put a bit of money into the front end and brakes, but it is a very solid car.

I have a 2005 Dodge Magnum sxt which I bought with 23,000 miles on it. So far I have on this date 110,863 miles. The only problems I have had was right side rear window does not work every once in a while. I also had my sensors malfunction, but other than that no other major problems. I have heard other people say they have lots of problems but I guess one day I will, but for now this car has treated me great. I do oil changes every three mnonths, and I say if you take care of a car it will take care of you.
