Last night I backed mine into, of all things, a stone water trough for horses . Was moving the car late so my girlfriend could move her car up. (I live in an old house (1803) converted from a stable in about 1853...new by German standards). Barely caught it but took a chunk out of the bumper and have scratches down the bumper cover to just short of the mudguards. The trough sits too low to see and no lighting, especially once you've cleared the backup lights. *$#$%!!! etc.
These cars are "hard luck" cars I guess. I've had cars that didn't receive so much as a door ding for years. Already I've replaced the right front (deer), the rocker panels (scraped it turning around in a driveway), and now the rear bumper cover. Another year and I'll have worked my way 360 dgrees and have a new car...!!!

Yeah, but it's like "owning" a rental car...it's in the body shop as much as out. Does keep the mileage down, though.
The car is actually too large for Europe (it's like living in a 3/4 size world compared to the US). If I take it to the underground parking malls, I sometimes can't get out the door after parking it...too cramped. I usually have to let the passenger out and then park as close as I can get to the other car, of course blocking them from getting in.
