Mechanical issue, Throttle body? EGR valve?
I have taken my 05' Dodge Magnum 2.7ltr SE to the shop because of a rough idle, frequent stalling and NEW TODAY the engine revs when in drive/reverse but will not go, hesitates to accelorate, ugh. They gave me a few ideas but said to take it to a dealership. Well, i'm home now and I am afraid that the car won't make it to a dealership as, i couldn't even get to the gas station a few minutes ago. I did some research online and I have heard that it could be a bad EGR valve, vaccume hoses or throttle body. Me, nor my husband are mechanics but we have a friend who is. He isn't sure what it could be but thinks it could be one of the things i mentioned. Has anyone experianced a problem like this? Any suggestions on what we should do? My gut is saying replace the EGR valve. The issues have just gotten alot worse in the last couple days, to the point that you cannot even drive the car without it stalling out or not even going at all. I do not get any "codes" and the check engine light isn't on but there is definately something wrong. Please help!
