i am installing the 360 air intakez to work with the rk hood. i removed the stock air box, but don't see the silencer. does anyone know where it is? if i can save an once of weight by removing it, i feel better.

 

It is under the stack air box, located in the drivers side fenderwell. You can't reach it from under the hood. Some have been able to get to it by removing the tire and getting at it through the fenderwell, hard to do it this way. Best way is from under the car, remove the panels to get to it, one small bolt holds it in place.

The silencer is made up of plastic, I modified mine to remove the part that is the silencer and rain/water diverter.


I also have the 360 intake, it does not seal good against the stock hood.

Not sure how it will seal against the RK hood.
