Went to the dealer this past weekend and was hsocked by the low trade in value i got on my car. My car is mint and i am hurt .If this is what i can exspect from dodge i will at some point never buy this brand again. This car has served me well. Matter of fact its been great. I have had a couple of issues that was easy to do and get 20mpg every day of the week...so i am hoping to get a little more for the car as i need a truck....This hurts..i want to cry.

 

Trade in price is always low. If you got a good valued car, it is always better to try and sell privately. It's been like this for years. I traded my '09 Charger in after owning it for only a year and only got $23k for it. The only reason I settled for it was because it was paid for and I did not want to deal with the hassles of trying to sell privately. Had I did, I could have got upper 20's maybe even a low 30 for it since it was a 40+ thousand dollar car new.

Nothing gets a good resell value anymore because so many people are having their cars repoed and what not, so the used car market is FLOODED.
