I cannot believe DC went to the trouble of removing a feature like this by fabricating a unique bezel which prevents the OEM switch from turning to the AUTO position. Keep in mind that you still need the automatic climate control group to take advantage. Here is a link to an excellent step-by-step thread:

man, it aint all that hard to dream up a car that will sell. What these guys do is make cars that sell over and over again... they have to give people reasons to buy new cars every year. Starting off with a winner, removing some goodies, releasing it then offering those goodies as incentives each year helps them do that.
