Default Remote/horn

OK, I turned off the "sound horn when locking w/remote" on personal settings, but the factory installed remote starter still sounds the horn when you want to start the car. I find the sounds irritating, but does anyone else have the remote starter and doed it do the same?

A second? Do you have the remote starter on a Magnum? FWIW the system sounds the horn 3 times. Yes it is irritating especially when it doesn't work - there's a TSB out on it but mine is being even more recalcitrant. And yes (or is it no?) - it doesn't respond to the silence command like the remote locking. Although interestingly it IS tied in with the RKE. Ask me how I know - it's called "RKE low battery" failure and that comes from my remote starter. Maybe next week the car will go in again.

Default Dodgemech

Three times is correct! At 7:00 AM and retired neighbors, I feel they may hear it.
I can can hear it 1/2 a block away.
I get the same "RKE Low battery" warning in the information center and it stays in the system warnings area until the car is restarted.
Would Dodgemech have any thoughts?

I read on another site the "RKE..." is the battery in the key fob. Either a loose connection or the battery is about to die.
