If you like your stock and just want a little more rumble I'd go with Magnaflows systems. Still quiet with the cruise but a little more thunder when the RPM's are up.

The higher side, if you want it, you can look into Borlas system or even the SLP Loudmouth system. These two will give that muscle car sound but can be a little to loud if you are constantly on your phone or have/use the UConnect feature.

The cheap thing you could do is lose the suit case sized muffler under the car and bolt up some straight pipes. Keep the resonators near the back so you won't have the MSD drone to bad, but this sounds good too.

Thanks KRZY. I talked to a another R/T owner, my dealers gear head and research I have done. the conclusions are these. Flowmaster Super 44's 2 chamber (inside noise as they say is noticeable) and aggressive outside, define noticeable? Flowmaster 50 series 3 chamber (a little milder) and straight pipes as you mention to the resonators (is the sound crackly or something with a tone?). I'm thinking 44's and this is my wife's idea not mine although I like her way of thinking. thanks again for any and all input.

I personally don't like the flowmaster series on the Hemi but it is an option. You probably got a lot more feedback from local guys for flowmaster because they are dealers for them. Not many people deal with the higher end kits. Flowmasters are cheaper, they do sound ok, but like I said, I am don't care for them as much. You might like them though. It's all about what you like.

My last piece of advice is this. What ever you choose, spend the extra $150 and get it welded into place. The vibrations from the Hemi will loosen the bolt on clamps and you will be tightening them up quite frequently and it is a pain.

I am with you on the welding, I don't want clamps coming lose and clanging around. I may have to rethink this, I m not ready to spend a grand for a kit for which I only want to replace the mufflers anyways and I can't see throwing away good pipes and tips as well, but I do need to find someone/somewhere a sound check. Been up on You Tube and the audio isn't that great and if you ask them about the dreaded drone everyone has a different answer which I can understand. I have called the tech support from different muffler brands and of course they want you to buy theirs and they can't even give a good answer on the drone noise so I'll do more homework and hopefully make the right decision. thanks for all the help
