Ok, havd 13500 roughly miles on my car and got my 12k check up yesterday (friday). today I traveled long distance and went over 14000 when the engine light came on. I know from owning a honda before that this happens 1000 miles out from 3000 mile check ups. is this the same thing? nothign seems to be wrong wiht the car and like i said i just got it serviced yesterday....they said they will flash the car on monday, but i want to make sure it will not blow up before then on my 500+ mile trip home.

 

I have almost 12K miles on my RT and it has never been into the dealer for factory service, I have my oil changes done at an independent shop or done at home.

No engine check lights yet..........................

Could have been something as simple as loose gas cap or bad gas. Id let the dealer just check it when you get home. Its under warranty so I wouldnt worry about it myself. On a sidebar, I drove a Dodge minivan for 6 years with the light on and junked it when the tranny quit.
