Default No heat on 05 magnum

I have no heat on 2005 dodge magnum. and the ac and heated mirrors lite switch alternate back and forth. Just thought before I take it to the dealer. Thank you

That usually indicate internal failure to the HVAC module, or the Blend doors lost calibration(usually a blend door broke or motor failed).
Changing the blend door requires pulling the Dash out. And if you have to do this, I recommend you to put in a New Evaporator while you are at it.

Thanks steak59. you have got to be kiddin' I just replaced the evap in my ram, OMG. My mechanic said dont tell anyone he would do it, cause he NOW woll NOT again. Unbelievable. Thanks anyway.

you can read the code yourself first. Assuming you have a Manual temp control.

Turn the ignition off, wait 10 seconds, and turn the ignition on.


Actuate the Display DTC function by performing the following:
  • Turn the blower control on.
  • Press the A/C mode switch down, turn the blower control to off, wait 3 seconds and then release the A/C mode switch.
Codes will Blink at you like a Morris code.
2 blink - pause - 3 blinks means code 23.

Well, I tried to read the code. Never worked ,except now the lights are blinking back and forth like before. Ac still works,,,,still no heat...ugh
How do I reset the lights to stop blinking? Thanks guys
