Default Supercharger question

Hey all. I've been on the forum a while now educating my self as much as possible on the Magnums and had the fortune of getting one as a rental for a week on vacation to really get a chance to live with one. But I'm Taking the plung this October and getting married and am thinning out my car collection. I'm selling my Vehicross, Audi TT and my beloved SRT-4 for a RT AWD.
I was looking at the SRT-8 but would rather have the AWD here in Ohio but would still like to have a little more punch (not to say that the RT didn't put a huge smile on my face when I punched the gas). My question is has anyone Supercharged their AWD RT? I tried searching with no luck and was wondering what people were getting as far as 0-60 and other preformace wise.
I'd like to match the SRT-8 preformance wise, maybe better with the AWD since the tests I've seen have put the AWD slightly faster than the RWD Pulling a 5.9 awd vs 6.1 rwd 0-60 avg in most tests I've seen(granted some have gotten better/worst). After driving both I can believe the slight advantage the stock AWD has even with the increase in weight. Also I was wondering if the AWD could safely handle the extra power. I did find some helpfull info on suspension and breaks which I'm sure I'll need with more power since the stock ride is so high on the AWD. Also I know there are some minor differences between the 06 and 05. I was thinking of trying to find an 05 since I'm likely going to void the crud out of my warrenty if I supercharge. Thanks for your input.

You say you are getting married in Oct.Just get a nice loaded SXT Magnum. It will get you from point A to B good gas milage and is a nice ride. After you are married you will be selling the big boy toys to buy lawn mowers/vacum cleaner/baby dipers and etc.

From what I know about the magnum if if you got the equivalent options on A SXT-AWD you end up paying about 1k more for the hemi, and dodge claims the same milage. So go with RT-AWD(thats what we are probably going with).

The supercharged 5.7, pulls 400-415 on the dyno to the rear wheels. An SRT-8 average is 370 dyno to the rear wheels in stock form. I have one of the supercharged 5.7's, but I know of none on AWD LX's yet.

Armadillo,

I've got racing headers, high-flow cats, magnaflow exhaust and high-flow air intake, so I think my R/T is ready for a supercharger. However, I've never had one on a car that I've owned before and cannot decide whether or not to pull the trigger on the gsmotorsports supercharger. How did the installation go and what did the shop charge you? Any issues since you've had it? How long have you had it? Does it require a lot of maintenance/tune-up after the initial install? Should I upgrade anything else to accommodate (or get the most out of) the supercharger? One mechanic I talked to suggested forged rods if I did the supercharger. Any other thoughts or suggestions? Are you glad you did it? Thanks in advance for your thoughts.
