Default Brake Pad OR Rotor Problems with 20" wheels???

I just put up a post asking for opinions on 18" wheels. The reason I was thinking of going with a 18" and not a 20" was someone told me that if I got up to 20" then I need to get new rotors and ceramic brake pads. I really don't want to spend more for wheels and tires with the 20" and then have to spend about another $300 or $400 on some new rotors and pads. So I am wondering if anyone of you running 20" wheels and tires are having any problems?? For me I am only going to run the new wheels during the summer or about 5 or 6 months here in Iowa. During the winter I am going to go back to the stock 17" wheels I have.

I have 20's...however just recently put on. Never was I advised of having to get new rotors or brake pads. I would think that as long as you got the same diameter combination as you currently have, there shouldn't be a problem. Having 20's leads itself to a heavier setup, and slower brake time...but I don't see it creating a problem.

However, like jy211 said...knock on wood. Cheers!

Just 20's have more rolling mass. THey are the same size but the larger wheels have more weight to them. I dont' want to have to put new pads on every year.
