Will that unit wire in with all the stock other stuff? What about voice cues? Voice activation? For just a navigation system would it make more sense to go with the stock unit from dodge? Does that provide voice guidance? Is that touch screen? What is the stock size?

I looked at some alpine systems as that is what our other car came with(supposed to be the best for nav on the market) stock with an 8 inch touch screen, but it would end up being about 3500 installed, so I am thinking along the lines of staying with the stock dodge system when we order. the only thing is it MUST have voice cues. My mother is a bad enough driver when she is actually concentrating on driving and not reading/putting on make up/arguing with us/and in a cell phone trance, I just cant have her reading a map, even with the 5 star crash test rating.

Either way your car looks sick, only thing is I need the cargo room so the sub box is out, and I will probably get the roof rack as I am a big DIYer and plywood is not an uncommon item on my list.

The deck I have and the stock deck are the saem in that respect. They have a voice talkin to ya but you can;t program anything while the car is in motion and you can't do it by voice either way.
The stock nav is not touch screen but it's easy to navigate through. She'd just need to enter her destinations before leaving the house. It'll save destinations so you could enter home and other places for her ahead of time. I'd recomend the stock nav for her. Easier than menu-driven decks as it has buttons she can see. She may get lost in the alpine eq and be all calling you for help with Ann Murrey crankin in the background. You don't want that, man.
Mine came with a roof rack. It's functional but I didn't like the way it looked and there was no way I was gonna drag some wood up there in fear of scrapin some paint somewhere. I had it shaved off.
You can add a couple of ten inch subs in the back, using those cubbies on the sides for air space. Thay way you get some boom boom without losing your cargo space. I'm goona do that next year, keeping the same amps and everything... just ditching the one 12 and goin with two 10s. Otta hit harder than it does now, really.

That sucks, it cant be programmed while in drive.

Maybe our other one allows it because of Voice Activation?

As for putting stuff on the roof, I would put up a towel or blanket first.

I have a question about the autostick. It seems to me that you tap it right or left for shifting when in drive. So, what if you want to keep the auto from kicking in at all, is there a mode or S button or something like this:

If ya just leave it in drive, autostick is off. You have to put it in auto stick by pulling it left or right. When you want to go back to drive just hold it to the right for a second.
It's pretty neat. I used it alot at first cuz it was new to me. Made driving fun and you can almost fake a five speed by using it.

Thats interesting, on our other car(picture above), when in drive you slide the shifter to the left, then it clicks in a sperate section and you tap to up or down shift and it displays the gear next to the tach, to go back in drive you slide it out of the section. I will have to explain that to my parents so they dont bump it. Does it automatically shift for you at a certain RPM? Does it automatically cancel? Is there any indicator that it is active or of what gear you are in?

yes. In autostick, you can manually shift as you like but it will not redline no matter what. A little 5600 rmp for me. 5500 for most '05s (I had mine flashed). 5800 for '06s, I believe. If I'm not mistaken, the SRT8s geter higher than that.
At the track, I just throw mine in first and let it shift on it's own with esp off.
