The tube is there, but no "stick"and as to the leak , it comes from a bad O ring or bad seat at the base of the tube...lots of folks have had this issue and mine goesin Monday for it..

Seems the newer rides are more trouble than they're worth?

I just had my 05 R/T in for service of the engine (engine surging at 30 to 50). Fixed that with a reprograming.

However, while in there, the dealer drained the trans and resealed the filler tube. Said that they were seeing a lot of this water in the trans issue, and that the AC water drips right on to the tube, water then collects on the tube to case seal, and when the engine/trans cools after shut off, water gets sucked past the seal. The fix is to add an RTV seal / barrier around the filler tube seal.

Nice to see a dealer be "pro-actve"!

While I have really used my Magnum for what I bought it for - hauling all kinds of stuff - I hear what you are saying. I just had my oil changed at the Saturn dealer (same dealer network, it's way too convenient and I have coupons) and the service manager said "Sir your rear pinion is leaking, you need to take it into Chrysler". This is just after the second time I had it in to get the remote start fixed which they installed - the TSB on the remote start didn't fix mine, in fact they replaced the hood switch twice, and then some modules and it still throws a RKE error. Oh well, looks like 7/70 isn;t just the warranty - it;s the trade-in date!

I just had mine flashed also for the surging, tech said there was a flash for the shifting that was out just for the issue, we shall see tomorrow as I do a quick trip to Kansas City and back.

Does anyone know if Chrysler plans some kind of customer support notification on these various reliability issues?

Is this problem only on the RT or does it also happen on the SXT with the 3.5? I noticed some clunky shifts comming from my sxt.
