Default Jetchip performance chip

This months Hot Rod has a small article about the Jetchip performance PCM chip for the Magnum on page 128.

Says there is stage 1 and stage 2 chips and states 12 HP boost upon dyno but does not say which chip they tested.

Anyone have one and is it worth the $309.95 ST-1 / $319.96 ST-2 ??

JET CHIP............................NO NO NO NO !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not worth the money.

Wait for Superchips or Hypertech to come out.

I was reluctant on this mod. So I waited tfor others to post their comments..
I ended up buying one from a guy who put the Paxton Sc on his Mag,
He didn't need it (obviuoslY) for $200
It works!!!
I have gotten huge increases in the mid-term RPMs..

A fool and his money are soon parted..............................not calling you a fool.

The factory computer will, over time, learn it's way around the Jet chip and you will be back to stock.

You need a REPROGRAMMER! not a chip.

my car never even left the garage after i put my jet chip in. the engine light was on and i had two codes: P 0499, P 0037.
i took the chip back out, cleared the codes, and it runs perfect again. be carefull, there seems to be a lot of bad chips out there. roll the dice and try it. you may get lucky.

Found a new Stage II Jetchip on ebay for $145 and bought it to try.

Will let you all know what happens. Comes with a factory warranty so even a fool can get reunited with his money.

65standard: Did you return your Jetchip for a refund? If I do get a code, can I clear it myself or is that a dealer only procedure?

i will try to return it or get a refund, but i bought it off ebay like you. i didn't get any replies back to my e-mails from the seller. yes, you can clear the codes and get the light to turn off, but they're still hidden in the computers memory. only the dealer can completely clear the codes.
