I just stopped by the dealer to get my sunvisor clip replaced. He looked it up on their system and nothing showed up for the transmissions.

Did a Google and found this, dated Oct 8th

http://www.cnn.com/2005/AUTOS/10/08/...s.recall.reut/

The Chrysler arm of Germany's DaimlerChrysler is recalling nearly 256,409 Dodge Dakota pickup truck, Dodge Durango, Jeep Liberty and Jeep Wrangler sport utility vehicles, Chrysler 300 sedans and Dodge Magnum wagons from the 2005 model year because of a problem that may cause the vehicles to roll away while in 'park' position, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said.

Sounds like it only applies to vehicles with a 6 cyl engine and auto trans.

I liked this part:

"Until the repair is made, owners should use the parking brake to secure the vehicle when parked, Gates said."

Here is my tip, "Use the parking brake, even AFTER the repair".

Hahahahaha!!!

I get my notices pretty quick and havent gotten a thing. This is what I heard too about 'park', and only on V6s.

My magnum is at the dealer right now for a bunch of little things. About the whole recall thing about the car slipping out of park, it has nothing to do with the magnums. At least thats what the service dept. told me yesterday on the phone.
