I recently had some engine problems which required me to have my entire engine replaced. Under the hood, the engine used to have "Vortex" and "Hemi" on the engine. When I got my car back, the "Vortex" is no longer there and the part looks used. Should I be concerned?

 

Vortex or Vortec? And where did it say that?
Was it just a sticker?
Because I have never seen those to names under the hood of any Dodge.

 

I think it was vortech and it was on the engine cover. Reading on line it appears that vortech is a supercharger. Did I get ripped off?

 

I would suggest going back to the people that did the work and talk to them.
Get a printed list of what they did; and than move forward.
Guess, looks like, used to be, and statements like that don't really prove or really mean anything.
