One of the best upgrades on that car is zipping that EGR tube, holy crap it is like more than half way across the intake, zipping that back is good for like 5-6hp.

Matt,

You mentioned "zipping" the EGR tube. Please explain further (I don't understand what you mean by "zipping").

Good luck on your intake project! Can't help since I am FL.

Thanks,
Plasticman

Zipping the EGR tube is a common upgrade done to many fbodies and corvettes. The EGR tube hangs down just after the TB on an fbody, and by cutting it down so it isnt in the way you can see about a 4hp increase in 10 min. The most common way to do it is by using an air cutter or zip blade to cut the tube down. Id have to take a close look at one to know exactly how much u can cut, because it is important not to cut too much. On a camaro or t/a we normally take 3/4 to an inch off safely.

Anyone planning on doing this EGR mod? If so, would you mind taking and posting pics? Any side effects, (too rich, to lean, milage, etc)?
