Head lights

I have a 2005 Dodge Magnum RT that the head lights will go completely off while driving but the park lights stay on. What can be causing this ?

Could be the switch or the connectors at the bulbs, loose fuse. Do they go back on or stay off? Something could be overheating as well if they go off and then turn back on a bit later.
