Default HHP/BES Stage 1 260 Custom Cam: Worth the effort to install..?

Hi LX People,

I'm thinking of replacing my R/T's camshaft with a High Horse Performance BES stage 1 (MDS-compatible) one.
But, reading the Haynes manual, it sounds like major open-heart surgery to get to the camshaft (e.g. taking off radiator, fans, alternator, air con, power steering, oil & water pumps).

Is it incredibly difficult to do this?
Am I going to create far more problems than I may solve?
Is the HHP / BES Stage 1 camshaft worth the effort to put it in? (Gives an extra 40 BHP)

Any feedback would be much appreciated!

Thanks - D
