Someone from a different forum had got a remote switch setup done with no luck. The problem was there is too much weight in the back door for it to open. Maybe I'm wrong (I hope). Be sure to post more information when you get it.

 

What I was thinking of using a "door popper" that they use for shaved door handles. I think they even make ones rated at 30#, 2 of these might be able to push the hatch up. I guess I need to find of them fish weighers and use it to pull up on the hatch and see how much it takes to start it up. Or can eve use a higher pressurized strut. Just throwing things around.

 

You should be able to go to a Chrylser dealer and get the part #. If you do, post the price if you would. You can even use a momentary flush mount button from radio shack. You would have to splice into the harness of course.
