Default Lost Lug Nut

I noticed that one of the lug nuts on my front passenger wheel was missing yesterday. When I bought the car two months ago, the dealer gave me the extra four that were replaced with the lock nuts. So last night as I was making my car whole again, I decided to check all of the nuts on the four wheels and found two lug nuts loose by a half-turn AND two more loose by a quarter-turn.

Is this a dealer issue or a factory issue? When I bring it in for the 3000 mile oil change, I'll mention it in passing. To me it seems like something the dealer would check before they delivered the car to me. Then again maybe this was something I should have checked.

Def let the dealer know. For one thing you may have damaged some wheel studs and they should replace any for free. Id guess it was just a boo-boo from the dealer or manufacturer. Most dealers prep these days consists of unloading it from the trailer and washing it, removing any protective papers. They expect the buyer to tell them if anything is wrong. This is just most dealers, some may be more reliable. When dealer does the scheduled maintanence, they usually include checking tire pressure and should notice a missing lug.

With Mag wheels it is a good idea to check your lug nuts once a month................you are rotating your tires every 3,000 miles...............right?

Thanks I will let them know. I'm going in nect week for the oil change and I'll have the tires rotated as well.

By the way, last week some f*#ker hit me in the parking lot and didn't have the ***** to leave any info. Gotta go to the body shop next week too. I'm beginning to think the car is cursed. My wife named it Christine the day I brought it home. [:-]
